Valentine’s Week is here, and finding a date isn’t easy for many people (except of course, for those of you on Vee!). You try every possible way (you know) to be more attractive to your crush. But turns out, you don’t need to work too hard to become attractive. Simple changes in your grooming habits, attitude, and personality can do the trick. It’s easier than you think. For instance..
Keep smiling
There is nothing more attractive than a smiling face. When you smile, people feel comfortable approaching you. No matter how the day has been for you, wear a smile and you are good to go!
Wear clothes that fit you well and suit you
The way you dress defines your personality. Therefore, it is really important to take care of what you are wearing. Wear clothes that fit your body well. While oversized clothes can make you look dowdy, clothes that are too tight can make you look odd.
Smell nice
Your fragrance is more important than you think. There is no point dressing like a star when you are not smelling good. Bathe regularly, brush and floss your teeth well, keep your feet well groomed, and use a nice deodorant, body mist or perfume. Avoid using deodorants and perfumes that are extremely loud.
Maintain your tresses
Keeping your hair clean, healthy and well-maintained is important for an attractive appearance. So, take proper care of it. Shampoo and condition regularly, with products that suit your hair type. Get haircuts that suit your face structure, color and highlights that suit your complexion, and style your hair well. Men should avoid too much hair product, such as hair gel.
Groom your face!
It is important to properly maintain your facial hair – women should shape their eyebrows regularly in a style that complements their facial features. Men who don a clean shaven look should shave regularly and, if you are maintaining a beard, you should trim it regularly to keep it looking unkempt. Regular facials and a simple beauty regime of cleaning, toning and moisturising with products that suit your skin type, can give you good skin in the long run – and that goes a long way!
Maintain eye contact – but don’t stare!
Maintaining proper eye contact is important when talking to someone, to show you are confident and genuinely interested in them. If you find it difficult to maintain eye contact, start practicing it with your close ones and then gradually start maintaining eye contact when talking to strangers.
Keep a positive body language
Don’t look nervous or in hurry when talking to someone. Folding your hands or moving your legs will make you look closed, busy or nervous. People will avoid approaching you. On the other hand, if you look relaxed and open, people will feel at ease approaching you. Pratice your poisture, and be at ease with yourself. Don’t be too meek or too aggresive.
Be confident while walking
Walk confidently. Keep your body relaxed, limbs at ease, head up, look straight and walk confidently – with quick, easy, small steps. When you look confident, you become more attractive naturally.
Be at ease
Even if you are nervous meeting someone for the first time, don’t let it show. Be confident and communicate in a relaxed and easy manner. Remember, nervousness kills your attractiveness!
Be happy and make others happy
When you are happy you can make others happy too. Keep laughing and smiling, and make others laugh and smile too. There is nothing that bonds better than two happy hearts. And needless to say, it makes you highly attractive!
Be a good listener
In addition to being a good talker, being a good listener is important too! Don’t always talk about yourself – it’ll make you appear full of yourself and cocky. Ask questions about the other person, interact. This gives an impression that you are interested to know about them and value them. This makes you seem more interesting too.
